Tsugaike Mountain Resort

One of Japan's leading big mountains, "Tsugaike Mountain Resort," is located in the foothills of the Northern Alps in Nagano Prefecture.

Tsugaike Mountain Resort is a place where you can fully enjoy the beautiful nature of each season. While feeling the breath of nature throughout the seasons, you can enjoy the magnificent scenery of the towering mountains.

In winter, it becomes a paradise for winter sports enjoyers.
In summer, hundreds of colorful alpine flowers bloom beautifully, and in September, the early arrival of autumn brings a splendid view of the autumn leaves along with the first snowfall of the Alps in early October, allowing visitors to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of each season.

SPRING

When spring comes, the "Tsugaike Ropeway" will start its early spring operation. With the ropeway, you can easily access an altitude of 1,900 meters, and you will be able to enjoy a beautiful silver world. You can also enjoy various snow activities unique to spring such as backcountry skiing and snowshoeing.
Around June, Tsugaike Nature Park will open and you can enjoy a memorable hike as the skunk cabbage blooms together with the melting snow, creating a spectacular sight. The Diphylleia grayi, also known as the "skeleton flower," becomes transparent when it is wet, delighting visitors by creating a unique atmosphere that can only be seen on rainy days. "Hakuba Tsugaike WOW!" located in the Middle Station is an outdoor activity facility filled with cheers and screams from various attractions. SUMMER

"During summer, Tsugaike Nature Park boasts hundreds of colorful alpine flowers in full bloom which is a sight to see. The park consists of four wetlands, and by circling all of them, you can enjoy trekking for approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes to 4 hours. The park trails are well-maintained with wooden walkways, therefore even beginners can enjoy them with peace of mind. At the farthest point lies the "Observation Deck" where you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the "Hakuba Daisekkei" and the Northern Alps, it is also one of the best spot to take a break and relax.
For those seeking activities, "Hakuba Tsugaike WOW!" in the middle station area offers thrilling experiences and refreshing activities. Surrounded by blue skies and beautiful mountains, you can engage in activities such as "Pochadasu," where you can float on beautiful ponds with refreshing water from the snow melts, and "Tobidasu," where you can enjoy tube-sliding from a height of 12 meters, also "Kabedasu," or a wall-climbing. These thrilling experiences make the hot summer even more memorable!"

AUTUMN

Tsugaike Nature Park boasts a magical scenery with its beautiful autumn leaves in autumn. The breathtaking scenery can be enjoyed from the gondola and an even more magical scene awaits as you transfer from the gondola to the ropeway. You can enjoy a foliage hike on the well-maintained wooden paths within the park and experience the transition of seasons in autumn. As the temperature cools down, the wind blows gently together with the scent of autumn drifts, walking through the course will allow one to feel the change of the seasons. WINTER

Tsugaike Mountain Resort is one of the biggest ski resorts in Hakuba Valley, which offers various ski courses for beginner to advanced skiers. Visitors can enjoy a large ski slope covered in the highest quality powder snow, guests do not need to worry about bumping into other people and can enjoy skiing to the fullest. Enjoy high-quality powder snow in the Powder Area, as well as a full-spec snow park that anyone can enjoy regardless of skill level. Moreover, at "Hakuba Tsugaike SNOW WOW!", you can also enjoy non-ski activities such as sleds like snow racers, buggy cruising, and more!
As for ski equipment, whether skis, snowboards, winter clothes, boots, etc, it is fully available for rent with sizes ranging from children to adults.
